NAC CHAMPIONSHIP LINKS: LIVE RESULTS

OAKLAND, Me. (October 10, 2019) – Just days after claiming second place at the USCAA National Championships, the SUNY Delhi men's golf team is about to take the trip up to the Waterville Country Club for this weekend's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championships. The competition takes place Saturday and Sunday, with tee times set for 9:30 a.m. both days.

The Broncos' first appearance last season saw them finish second, which is exactly where the team placed in the NAC's Pre-Championship Poll. Delhi earned 72 points and three first-place votes, trailing only defending conference champion Husson, who received 75 points and five first-place votes.

THE BRONCOS

The men earned one team victory this fall in their season opener versus The Apprentice School and Mid-Atlantic Christian, carrying a 599 (+31) two-day total. They went on to place second in two events.  Brandon Palmer and Daniel Christy each tallied individual wins, with Palmer winning the opening tournament with a 147 (+5), while Christy won the Utica Invitational with a 148 (+6). The team most recently captured its second straight silver finish at the USCAA National Championships on Tuesday, finishing with a 294 (+6) as four Broncos earned First Team All-American.

Christy won the NAC individual championship last year with a 148 (75, 73) for four-over-par. Delhi placed second on the team leaderboard with a 622 (318, 304) score for 46-over. Husson won the team title with a 619 (307, 312) for 43-over. Of Delhi's five competitors this weekend, four are returning from last year's championship.
