AII Names 17 Broncos to 2016-17 Academic All-Conference Team

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (July 6, 2017) – The Association of Independent Institutions (AII) has unveiled its 2016-17 Academic All-Conference recipients, which recognized 17 Broncos for academic excellence. A total of 428 student-athletes were recognized from AII’s member schools.

To be eligible for AII Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must have completed at least two consecutive terms at their respective institution with at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA.

The men’s lacrosse squad led the way with five academic selections. Four members of the swimming and diving team, all male, gained recognition, as did tennis with three females and one male, and golf with two females and two males.

Below are the 17 SUNY Delhi student-athletes named to the 2016-17 AII Academic All-Conference team.

GOLF – Lauren Schnoor, Jacqueline Slentz, Adam Brickle, Joseph Burgin

MEN’S LACROSSE – Brandon Katz, Jeremy Leary, Jack Quinn, Antonio Russo, Kevin Sanchez

TENNIS – Tatyana Fielteau, Kathleen Lennon, Mei Pan, Masaya Tanabe

SWIMMING & DIVING – Sejean Gibbs-Chavez, Marc Piccott, Sean Sweeney, Cole Yankowski
