SUNY Delhi Finishes Fifth in 2016-17 Director's Cup Standings

NORFOLK, Va. (July 7, 2017) – The USCAA released the final 2016-17 Director's Cup Standings, with SUNY Delhi ranked fifth in the 20-team field, earning 400.8 points. The Director's Cup points are awarded for the number of sport offerings and are also based on results from USCAA National Championship events.

The 2016-17 season was a memorable one for the Broncos. SUNY Delhi hosted the USCAA National Invitational, which both the men's and women's track and field teams won. In addition, the men's cross country team won the USCAA National Championships, with the women placing sixth. Men's golf placed seventh at the USCAA Nationals in October. The men's lacrosse team reached the USCAA Tournament Championship, while the men's and women's soccer teams both competed in the USCAA Tournament. 

Cleary University in Michigan topped the standings with 545.5 points. Berea College finished second with 522.5 points, while Florida took third with 511 points, and SUNY ESF fourth with 451 points.
