Delhi Softball taken down in NAC DH at SUNY Poly

Utica, NY - Delhi softball traveled to play North Atlantic Conference opponents SUNY Poly in a double header Friday evening. They struggled in the first game being defeated 0-9 in five innings before making the second one closer but eventually falling 2-7 in six.

The Broncos (3-29,0-7) have just seven games remaining on their regular season schedule, all against conference opponents.

How it Happened:

Game One: Delhi 0 | Poly 9

The green and gold would struggle at the plate, unable to collect a base hit through the five inning opening game. They would draw three walks, while Katelynn Rose pitched all four innings giving up four earned runs.

Game Two: Delhi 2 | Poly 7

Delhi would score in the first inning after Danielle Seymour and Rose singled and Lauren Zecca drove one run in with a drive up the middle. They would then add on to their lead and go up 2-0 in the second inning as Sidney Cooper knocked in Roselyn Monks.

The momentum shifted in the third as the Wildcats would score in the next four innings to take the first game 7-2. Seymour and Rose would combine for six innings and two strikeouts on the bump.

What's Next:

The Broncos return to Utica tomorrow, April 22nd to play Poly in a single game at 11:00 AM.
