Delhi, NY - Cross Country hosted the 25th annual Bronco Classic 5K on a hot Wednesday night at The College Golf Course at Delhi, with both men and women taking the top spot.

Senior John Amenta (Fishkill, NY) carried over his success from his 2022 season, crossing the finish line first overall with a time of 16:54.90 in his first race of the season.

The rest of the men's team would be right behind him, with six Broncos finishing in the top seven, earning 19 team points. Sophomore Nathan Goodwin (Elka Park, NY), Junior Sam Lees (Delancey, NY), Sophomore Derek Leiter (Salisbury Mills, NY), and Sophomore Cheo Munford (Staten Island, NY) placed third, fourth, fifth, and sixth overall, respectively.

Senior Marissa Lombardi (Goshen, NY) led the way on the women's side, finishing second overall with a time of 21:39.6.

They would have four runners place in the top five, with the trio of freshman Mary Bryant (Averill Park, NY), Evie Eastman (Wilson, PA) and Eden Carr (Pine Bush, NY) finishing third, fourth and fifth.
