WAYNE, NJ (January 14, 2022) - The Delhi Broncos Swim and Dive team picked up four individual wins in their three way meet with William Patterson University and Lehman College held at WPU's Wightman Pool. This marked the return of the team to the water following the long winter break.
On the women's side, Senior Alexandria Caceres won the 50 yard freestyle (27.18) and added a second place finishes in the 100 yard butterfly with a new liftime best (1:09.74) and the 100 yard freestyle (1:04.91). Also getting in on the winning ways was freshman Jessica Roon who swam to victory in the 100 year backstroke (1:19.50).
For the men, the lone race win came from senior Jonathon Brathwaite who won the 100 yard freestyle (1:09.06). The other win came from junior Joshua Lopez in the 1-meter diving competition. His score of 93.75 was good enough to outscore the runner up by 8.25 points.
Next up for the Broncos simmers and divers is a matchup at Wells College on January 22, 2022.
