Men Capture Ten of First 11 for Dual Meet Win at Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. (August 30, 2019) - The SUNY Delhi men opened their cross country season with a dual meet win over Hartwick. The Broncos took ten of the top 11 spots at the finish line to total up 17 points, 29 ahead of the host Hawks.

The Broncos took the top three places at the finish line led by freshman Aiden Berlinski, who finished the 4-kilometer course in 13:53, just ahead of freshman teammate Aidan Cutting at 13:56.  Rounding out the three man sweep was sophomore Bladimir Pena, who crossed in 14:23.1, just a tenth of a second ahead of the first Hartwick runner. After that the Broncos rattled off seven straight finishes with Aaron Vivlamore (14:42), Anthony Cuchel (14:51), Lewis Race (14:56), Braxxdon Dawson (14:57), Frank Martucci (15:02), Jack Hopkins (15:09) and Vincent Matarese (15:32). Also competing for the Broncos were Mike Moran (16:29), Stanton Baker (16:49), Tyler Kemble (16:58).

"The men had a great showing today," said head coach Robb Munro. "Now we have to keep building for the races over longer distances and they all seem excited to do the work."

Next up for the men is the Ron Stonitsch Invitational hosted by Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on Saturday, Sept. 7.
