Team Effort Carries Broncos to Victory

SUNY Delhi traveled to Penn State Worthington Scranton Tuesday night to take on the Lions. The Broncos took a commanding lead in the first half, putting away 18 points in each of the first two periods. Defensively, the Broncos held the Lions under 10 points in each of the first two periods as well. Katie Herba of SUNY Delhi shot four for four in the first half, putting away 8 of her game high 15 points. Herba finished with a double-double, scoring 15 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. Furthermore for the Broncos, Samiaya Salley contributed 13 points, Britney Toliver snatched up 5 steals, and Diana Echols pulled in 13 rebounds. In a team effort, nine SUNY Delhi players contributed on the scoreboard, with the Broncos putting up an impressive bench scoring contribution of 29 points. On the boards, SUNY Delhi outrebounded Penn State 44 to 19. The Broncos won 59-40, extending their record to 4-8.
