Broncos Fall in Classic Opener

SUNY Delhi started their home Classic off Friday night against the University of Maine – Fort Kent. With just under three minutes left in the first period, the Broncos held the score even at 15-15 against the Bengals' impressive start behind the arc, sinking six of their eleven threes in the first period alone. However, after the first, the Bengals would go on to hold SUNY Delhi to single figure periods for the remainder of the game. For the Broncos, Samiaya Salley finished the game with a team high double-double, putting away 18 points and pulling down 11 rebounds. SUNY Delhi dominated the boards, out-rebounding Maine-Fort Kent 27-13 in the first half, but the Bengals' strong offensive showing would finish them on top, 98-40. The Broncos face Vermont Tech on Saturday and Berkeley College (NY) On Sunday to end the Classic.
