ITHACA, N.Y. (February 17, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi track and field teams made their third trip of the season to Cornell on Saturday, competing in the Denault Invite. While the Broncos explored familiar territory, they still found new ways to post exceptional results, including throwers Diana Echols and Brandon Holliday each setting new personal bests in the weight throw. Echols placed ninth with a hurl of 13.79m, while Holliday earned sixth with a distance of 14.79m. Holliday also took fourth in the shot put at 14.28m.
Runner Kobie Lane matched his season best in the 3000 meters, placing third with a time of 8:42.70. Arielle Moheimani led the women with a third-place finish in the 600 meters with a time of 1:44.76, while Mike Moran took fourth in the same event at 1:23.92. Jumper Mike Beebe placed fourth in the high jump with a height of 1.95m. Multi-athlete Madeeah Oranchak earned a pair of top-ten finishes, taking sixth in the 300 meters with a time of 44.59 and seventh in the long jump with a measurement of 5.04m.
Head coach Robb Munro's squad will make one final stop on their indoor regular season on Friday, Feb. 23 at the Armory Last Chance in New York, N.Y.
