Broncos Get Two More Wins, Finish Weekend 3-1

DELHI, NY (April 3, 2022) - The Delhi men's tennis team finished a greuling three day stretch today playing two matches against visiting Northern Vermont University - Johnson.  The first match was a conference match with the second filling a non-conference placement.

In the first match, Delhi recieved default victories at number three doubles as well as number five and six singles.  As usual, the top duo from Delhi, Jarod Rackliffe and Christopher Balogh won the number one doubles and at number two doubles Tyler Kemble and Ryoto Yoshinaga picked up the win.  Both doubles matches were 8-0.  In singles, the Broncos got wins from Rackliffe at number one (6-0, 6-0), Balogh at number two (6-0, 6-1), Kemble at number three (6-0, 6-0) and Yoshinaga (6-0, 6-0).

In the second match, Delhi again recieved the same default wins and matched the number one doubles performance from the first match.  However, at number two doubles this time it was Ryan Fitpatrick and Dominick DeBonis picking up an 8-1 victory.  The number one singles match was another ictory for Rackliffe, who is still unbeaten in his college career.  This time around, Daniel Distasio picked up the win at number two singles, Yoshinaga won at number three singles and Ryan Fitzpatrick won at number four singles.  All four singles victories came with the identical score of 6-0.

The men will finally get a day of rest as they get ready to travel to play Utica University on Wednesday this week before playing matches again on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
