Broncos Fall in Tight Game at Home

Delhi, NY - The Delhi men's lacrosse team was back in action after an extended layoff for a key North Atlantic Conference game against Maine Maritime Academy today.  In a fantastic game from both sides, Delhi came up just short dropping the contest 11-9.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The game was incredibly well played with only five total minutes of penalty time served between the teams a the largest lead only reaching three goals of separation.

  • The Delhi offense was led by Ben Moscatiello with three goals and one assist as well as Jackson Murphy with two goals and three assists.

  • Anthony Ferrato dominated the face-off dot winning 19 of 24.  He collected 16 ground balls for the Broncos and converted two of them into assists.

  • Mike Triolo had 12 saves to anchor the Broncos defense.

UP NEXT FOR THE BRONCOS

The Broncos will play again on Sunday against Husson University at 12 noon on Neil Riddell Field where they will honor their six seniors with senior recognition.
