Broncos Big Second Half Gives Them Second Straight Win To Start the Season

Purchase, NY - The SUNY Delhi men's lacrosse team traveled south to play a game against SUNY Purchase on a cold and windy day.  The Broncos had a slow start going into halftime tied, but blasted the second half outscring the Panthers 11-2 in the second half to start the season 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • For the second game in a row, Delhi dominated the faceoff category with Anthony Ferrato winning 17 of 21 and picking up 15 ground balls.

  • Benjamin Moscatiello and Jagger Beachak led the offense recording four goals a piece while Greg Junge added three.  Moscatiello and Beachak also added four and two assists respectively.

  • Beachak and Nick Allen combined to cause seven turnovers by the Panthers.

  • Mike Triolo recorded three saves in the goal for the Broncos

The Broncos now look forward to a three game home stand starting on Sunday when they host Vermont State University Castleton on Neil Riddell Field at 1pm.
