Delhi Golf wraps up fall season at George Cangero Invitational

Bethpage, NY – Delhi Men's Golf competed in the George Cangero Invitational for their final action of the fall in an 18-hole day after Saturday was rained out. The Delhi team, which included four freshmen, finished in fifth place out of a field of eight strong teams with a team score of 303 (+23). 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 

  • Senior Thomas Christoffersen led the way for the Broncos with a four-way finish for second place out of 46 golfers, carding a 71 (+1). 

  • Freshman Ben Swartz was next in a three-way tie for 10th overall, shooting a 74 (+4).  

  • Freshman Noah Tyler and Carter Weiss would both finish 19th and John Souva 28th to round out the day for the Broncos.  

 

COMMENTS FROM COACH AREHART

"Tom's leadership was on display again this weekend. He birdied 2 of the last 3 holes for an outstanding finish against a tough field of players. First year players Ben Swartz and Carter Weiss both had real solid performances. We are looking forward to a competitive spring season."
