Men's Golf 2023 North Atlantic Conference Championship Preview

Men's Golf 2023 North Atlantic Conference Championship Preview

Delhi Men's Golf has been gearing up all season with seven invites in preparation for the 2023 North Atlantic Conference Men's Golf Championships. The men will compete over two days, held at Partridge Run Golf & Country Club in Canton, NY on Saturday and Sunday, October 7th and 8th.

After placing third overall as a team last year, the Broncos are determined to reclaim the NAC title this season. They've been on the right track, securing victory in four out of their first five team invites this year, thanks to outstanding performances by multiple golfers.

Notable standouts this season include Senior Thomas Christoffersen, freshman John Souva, and freshman Noah Tyler, all of whom have claimed individual victories. This trio will be prominently featured in Delhi's five-member team at the NAC Championships, alongside senior Jordan Starley and freshman Ben Swartz.

Senior Thomas Christoffersen will play a crucial role for Delhi, having missed the individual NAC crown by just one stroke last year. The freshman duo of Noah Tyler and John Souva have also been instrumental for the team this season, and they aim to make a significant impact in their first-ever conference championship. Both first-year players have claimed individual titles, with Souva securing a three-stroke victory at the SUNY Delhi Bronco Invitational, and Tyler taking the top spot at the SUNY Canton Invite after finishing as the runner-up the day before.

Delhi will start their competition teeing off at 11:00 AM on day one.

Comments from Coach Arehart:

"The team is excited to compete against some outstanding conference competition."
