Morrisville, NY - The SUNY Delhi men's basketball season came to a close today with a tight loss to Cobleskill in the NAC West Final.  The Broncos and the Tigers had split their regular season matchups, but Cobleskill hit some late shots to win the third matchup 84-82.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• While the early part of the game went back and forth, Cobleskill managed to build their largest lead of the game at 11 points just over halfway through the rfirst half.

• The Broncos were immediately able to chip away at the lead, cutting it to a little as two, but the Tigers took a seven point advantage into the half.

• Delhi opened the second half on a 14-3 run to take the lead back, but the Tigers had a run of their own and with seven minutes left they had a nine point lead.

• Delhi tied the game at 73, 75 and 79, but Cobleskill drained a three pointer with 15 seconds left and followed it up with two free throws to seal the game.

• The trio of Lester McCarthy, Isiah Barnes and Marven Louissaint once again carried the Broncos combining for 55 points, 19 rebounds, 13 assists and seven steals.

UP NEXT FOR THE BRONCOS

The Broncos wrap up their season just shy of a return trip to the North Atlantic Conference Championship game with a season record of 14-13.  They will now enter the offseason where coach Annan will look to replace the seven seniors we honored in their final home game of the season.
