Oneonta, NY– Delhi Men's Basketball took down neighboring Hartwick College in their fourth road contest to start their season, defeating the Hawks 86-63.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

In the first half, the Hawks took an early lead until Delhi seized control five minutes in, extending their advantage to as much as ten.

Eight Broncos contributed to the scoring, setting them up with a 33-25 halftime lead. Junior Isiah Barnes (Elmont, NY) and sophomore Gustarling Louis (Elmont, NY) led with eight points each, showing impressive shooting at a combined 87.5% from the field.

In the second half, the green and gold ran away with their lead, scoring 53 points to secure their second win of the season.

The Broncos had an exceptional night shooting, with a 52.5% success rate (32/61) from the field. They led in most statistical categories, including rebounds (42), assists (14), points off turnovers (13), and second-chance points (15). Delhi also excelled in the paint, scoring 40 points down low.

Louis continued to lead the team in scoring with his second career-high of the season, totaling 20 points while shooting 66.6% from the field. Barnes had an outstanding all-around game, putting up a 14-point, 12-rebound double-double and adding six assists. He only missed one shot on the night, going three-for-three on field goals and eight-for-nine from the charity stripe. Junior Lester McCarthy (Dobbs Ferry, NY) contributed with 13 points, three rebounds, and four assists.
