Three Bronco's Pick up NAC Weekly Awards After Superb Alumni Weekend

Delhi - After an excellent all-around week for Delhi Athletics, three student-athletes were recognized with NAC Weekly Awards. Two members of the Women's Soccer team were included after a big 4-0 win over conference opponents Cazenovia, Andraya Hunt and Micayla Slattery. Hunt recorded her fourth clean sheet of the year and shut down the Wildcat's attack en route to her Defensive Athlete of the Week award. While Slattery scored twice and assisted on a goal to receive the Athlete of the Week award.

Thomas Christoffersen won his second Athlete of the Week award this season, after an excellent day at the Lou Jarvis Memorial Invite. He carded just one above par to win the invite and put Delhi at the top of the board.

Player of the Week

Micayla Slattery, SUNY Delhi
Senior | Averill Park, New York
SUNY Delhi forward Micayla Slattery led the Broncos to their first win in five games, beating Cazenovia 4-0. She started her day with a great assist, capping off a nice team buildup for a tap-in for her teammate. Slattery scored her first goal of the day in the 18th minute with a curling shot not far into the 18 to beat the opposing goalkeeper top left for her first goal of the season. She then added to her total, putting away a penalty kick in the 23rd minute.

Defensive Player of the Week

Andraya Hunt, SUNY Delhi
Sophomore | Cohoes, New York
Sophomore keeper Andraya Hunt was a big reason SUNY Delhi was able to post a 4-0 NAC West Division win over Cazenovia. Hunt had eight saves, including several from point-blank range, on her way to her fourth clean sheet of the season and giving the Broncos their first win over a NAC rival this season.

Golfer of the Week

Thomas Christoffersen, SUNY Delhi
Junior | Binghamton, New York
Junior Thomas Christoffersen carded a round of one over par, scoring a 73 (+1) and winning the Northern Vermont-Johnson Lou Jarvis Memorial. It included NAC golf programs from SUNY Canton, NVU-Johnson and SUNY Cobleskill for a total of 20 golfers. He was two strokes ahead of second place finisher Michael Amendola from NVU-Johnson, and led SUNY Delhi (311, +23) to the win by 11 total stokes.
