DELHI, N.Y. (December 7, 2021) - Our opening December edition of the Limitless Photos Broncos of the Week takes us to Saturday's indoor track & field season opener at Cornell, where runners Joshua Jeffes and Tatianna Kistner set school records in their indoor collegiate debuts.
Joshua Jeffes (Scotia, NY / Scotia-Glenville) set the school record in the 300 meters by 1/100th of a second with a time of 35.56 for sixth place overall, beating out the previous mark of 35.57 set by Walter Briggs in 2015. Jeffes also ran the 4x400 with Brennan Frescello, Mickenson Simon, and Morgan Condon, taking fifth at 3:30.37. Saturday marked the first indoor collegiate meet for the sophomore after an extraordinary outdoor season last spring that culminared in a first-place finish in the 400 meters at the AARTFC Championships.
Tatianna Kistner (Shirley, NY / William Floyd) used her college debut to instantly claim the SUNY Delhi standard in the 60 meters with a prelimiary mark of 8.00, besting the previous time of 8.04 set by Tieshia Coleman in 2002. She also ran the 300 meters, finishing a team-best 28th overall in a time of 44.75.
