Seth Bywater (Cornwall, NY / Cornwall Central) became SUNY Delhi's first-ever NCAA national qualifier in school history, earning All-Region with a career-best time of 25:46.7 at Saturday's NCAA Niagara Regional Championships for 13th place, securing an at-large national bid. The race took place at the 8K Warplane Museum, the same site the Broncos competed at on Oct. 2 for SUNY Geneseo's Mike Woods Invitational, where Bywater ran a then-career-high 26:14.9. The Mechatronics major heads off to this Saturday's NCAA National Championships in Louisville, Ky.
Madilyne Kupris (Brookfield, NY / Brookfield Central) roped in a game-high 14 points and nine rebounds in a breakout performance at Houghton on Saturday. She also contributed six points and five rebounds with two steals and two assists against Alfred State on Wednesday. The midweek matchup with the Pionners also saw the Broncos deliver a strong second half, including a 21-point fourth quarter, to overcome a rough start and making the game competitive down the stretch. The women play at SUNY Oswego tonight at 5:30 p.m.
