DELHI, N.Y. (November 2, 2021) - We proudly present this week's Limitless Photos Broncos of the Week celebrating the cross country teams' performances at the NAC Championships, namely Aidan Cutting and Sophie Stewart!
Aidan Cutting (Unadilla, NY / Unatego) was Delhi's third finisher and First Team All-NAC recipient at Saturday's conference championships in Waterville, Me. to help the Broncos place second. He clocked in an 8K time of 28:44.5 for seventh place overall, vastly improving upon his previous conference finish back in 2019 when he ran 31:02.5. Ahead of him were teammates Seth Bywater finishing second and John Amenta in sixth. SUNY Delhi finished runner-up with 53 points, adhering to its placement in the NAC Pre-Championship Poll.
Sophie Stewart (Newark Valley, NY / Newark Valley) led the Broncos to their second straight NAC title with her fourth-place 5K finish in a time of 23:10.8, nearly 28 seconds better than her previous NAC Championship outing as a freshman in 2019 that also led the team. Her First Team All-NAC placement was just the beginning of SUNY Delhi's seven-person machine that finished in the top 15 to earn all-conference and win the meet with 29 points, bypassing their second-place prediction in the NAC Pre-Championship Poll and superseding favored Husson by 19 points.
