Gold Medal Moments: Women's Social Series

DELHI, N.Y. (July 26, 2021) - With the Olympics upon us, SUNY Delhi Athletics wishes to highlight some recent moments and memories that we believe merits gold-medal recognition. 

#2: Women's Social Series! Collegiate Student-Athletes to Successful Business Women

SUNY Delhi Athletics, in conjunction with the NCAA and the North Atlantic Conference grant program, presented three former student-athletes that shared advice and answered questions about college athletics, finding a job and building an inclusive and diverse environment to live, play and work in. 

On the panel was former SUNY Delhi student-athlete Shanay Bradley '10, currently the director of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Syracuse, N.Y., former student-athlete Jackie Bailey '13, currently working for NIKE, and Kira Carter, the current women's basketball coach at Missouri S&T. Discussion moderated by SUNY Delhi Head Women's Basketball Coach Aiden McRoberts.

These three women discussed their journey from college to their current employment position and talk about what they feel will help student-athletes be successful as well as their suggestions for creating a diverse and inclusive setting to compete and work in.
