DELHI, N.Y. (April 23, 2021) – With the challenges faced from the COVID-19 pandemic, SUNY Delhi Athletics has made strides with an expanded role in its live stream offerings. The department strengthened its already-solid partnership with BoxCast by offering free high definition for all viewers. In addition, the Broncos secured mobile hotspots to live stream outdoor sporting events.
Since SUNY Delhi began its partnership with BoxCast in 2015, live streaming capabilities made it only possible to regularly live stream basketball and volleyball. Over the past year, the Athletics Department issued a plan to live stream more sports and events when SUNY schools would be allowed to return to competition and offer fans the ability to still watch in the event of spectator restrictions. SUNY Delhi's first foray this spring was live streaming March's NAC Swimming & Diving Virtual Invitational, opening the door for future home swim meets to be streamed. The Broncos then took its broadcasts outdoors for the first time to live stream softball and track & field to rave responses from fans. Plans are underway to broadcast men's lacrosse's upcoming home games.
For even more comfort, fans can now watch SUNY Delhi Athletics on the Boxcast App, available on services such as Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV.
