DELHI, N.Y. (April 6, 2021) - SUNY Delhi Athletics is proud to be back in the competitive swing of things this spring, and even prouder to celebrate our new batch of Broncos of the Week! This week we recognize softball pitching phenom Mel Papuli and longtime women's volleyball coach Beau Bracchy on a landmark milestone!

In her career debut, sophomore Mel Papuli (Marlboro, NY / Marlboro Central) retired her first nine batters and struck out 11 in the Broncos' 12-4 season-opening win over Wells last Tuesday. She allowed just one earned run on four hits in seven innings of work. She helped out her cause too with two hits, including a two-run triple in the seventh. Mel opened the scoring in the latter game with a first-inning RBI single in what would be a 10-2 five-inning Delhi win.

Women's Volleyball Head Coach Beau Bracchy reached his 200th career win in Saturday's 3-1 win over Cazenovia. This is Coach Bracchy's 16th season at SUNY Delhi, compiling two conference championships, two regional tournament appearances, and five All-Americans. Including his previous ten-year high school coaching run at Delaware Academy, Bracchy now has 316 career victories.
