DELHI, N.Y. (February 17, 2021) - The SUNY Delhi Athletics Department is pleased to welcome Kerri Bassett as the new Administrative Assistant. Bassett, who started her new position in January, is already a familiar face at SUNY Delhi, as she moves to Clark Field House from her previous role in Purchasing & Accounts Payable. She replaces longtime Administrative Assistant Lynn Oles, who retired in December.
"As I continue my journey here at SUNY Delhi, I am excited to become part of the Athletics Department Team," said Bassett. "As I transition into my new role in Athletics, my hope is to be able to provide not only administrative support, but a warm welcoming environment to our students, faculty, and staff. Every day is a 'Great day to be a Bronco!'"
Bassett has worked in numerous front-end and managerial capacities throughout her career, which will serve her well in her new role that entails correspondence, maintaining files, collaborative work coordination with Recreation and Physical Education academic department, Student Life Division, and the campus community. She is also a point of contact for providing daily customer service, fielding of questions, information gathering, and compilation of reports submitted to assist the Director of Athletics and the normal ongoing effective operations of the Athletics Department.
Born in Copiague, NY and a graduate of Rondout Valley High School in Accord, NY, Bassett had several jobs in New York and Long Island before settling in the Catskills in 2012. She held positions covering Andes, Bovina Center, and Delhi prior to her arrival to SUNY Delhi in 2017 as a Purchasing Associate.
Bassett resides in Bovina with her partner John and their St. Bernard Gracie.
