WEEK ONE - FEBRUARY 1 TO FEBRUARY 8

GARRETT KEITH '84 - WRESTLING

2014 HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE

Garrett Keith, two-time All-American at Delhi from 1982 to 1984, currently holds two NJCAA national records for pins in one season and pins in a career. He took first place at the Region III Championships in 1984 and was runner up at the 1984 NJCAA Championships. He was named Delhi's Male Athlete of the Year that same year. In 1983, Keith placed second at the Region III Championships and sixth place at the NJCAA Championships. Keith competed in the 1983 Pan American games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was featured in a 1984 Sports Illustrated edition of "Faces in the Crowd" for his NJCAA record. Keith earned a scholarship to wrestle at North Carolina State. He placed second at the 1985 ACC Championships and third at the 1986 ACC Championships. Keith was born and raised in Elmira, NY and attended Southside High School.

Keith, a 295-pound senior wrestler for SUNY-Delhi, set NJCAA marks for pins in one season (38) and career (65). He had a 75-11-1 record in two years with the Broncos, who ranked third among junior colleges in 1983-84."


JACKIE BAILEY '13 - VOLLEYBALL

Jackie Bailey '13 was a member of the two winningest programs in Broncos Volleyball history in 2009 and 2010, which combined for 50 wins, back-to-back MVC Championships, and a pair of NJCAA Region 3 Tournament appearances. A dynamic six-rotation outside hitter, Jackie was selected Third Team All-Region 3 both years, earned the Coach's Award in 2009, and was Mountain Valley Conference Co-Player of the Year in 2010. Her 566 digs in 2010 are a single season record. Jackie stayed on for three more seasons as an assistant coach before graduating from SUNY Delhi with a Bachelor's degree in Travel and Tourism. She currently works as a Product Life Cycle Coach/Merchandising Team Lead for Nike.


SHATAYA MCCOMB '09 - BASKETBALL

Shataya McComb '09 competed on the SUNY Delhi women's basketball team from 2007-09, racking up 701 points and 349 rebounds over two seasons as the program combined for a 31-22 record. The 5'7" guard/forward finished 12th in the nation in NJCAA Division III with 18.7 points per game as a sophomore, garnering First Team All-MVC and Second Team All-Region 3 accolades, while earning SUNY Dehli's Female Athlete of the Year. The native of Kingston, NY moved on to Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisc., helping the Inferno to a NACC Tournament berth as a junior. In her senior season, she led the team and ranked sixth in the NACC in rebounds, averaging 7.7 per game and 185 in total. Her combined career totals include 1,208 points and 676 rebounds. Shataya has returned to her roots in the Hudson Valley/Kingston area, founding the Point God Academy, a year-round sports training program dedicated to providing instruction to young athletes.

WALTER BRIGGS '16 - TRACK & FIELD

Walter Briggs '16 spent two seasons with SUNY Delhi Track & Field during its pivotal transition from two-year to four-year athletics. Following an MVP performance to help the Broncos win their final NJCAA Region 3 title, the star hurdler and sprinter helped closed out Delhi's NJCAA era with First Team All-American finishes in the 110 and 400 meter hurdles, as well as the 4x400 and 4x800 relays, as the Broncos secured the 2015 outdoor team national championship. The following season, SUNY Delhi became members of the USCAA, where Briggs won the 110 and 400 meter hurdles at the USCAA Outdoor National Invitational. Briggs earned his Associate's degree from Delhi in Business before continuing his track career at UAlbany. As a junior, he won the 500 meters at the America East Indoor Conference Championships, followed by wins in the 400m hurdles and the 4x400 that spring as the Great Danes clinched the AE Outdoor Championship. He qualified for the NCAA Division I Outdoor National Championships in the 400m hurdles, placing 19th overall for USTFCCCA All-America Honorable Mention, becoming the only SUNY Delhi alumnus ever to earn NCAA Division I All-American. Briggs' senior season saw UAlbany sweep the America East Indoor and Outdoor team titles. The Kingston native's AE outdoor performance landed him wins in the 110 and 400-meter hurdles, while earning the league's Coaches' Award and Most Outstanding Track Athlete. His equally-competitive academic standing earned him a pair of USCTFCCA All-Academic mentions. Briggs is currently pursuing his MBA at UAlbany, while serving as the Great Danes' assistant coach for sprints and hurdles. To date, he still holds the SUNY Delhi school records in the 300 and 500 meter indoors as well as 400m hurdles outdoors, and was the anchor on both the indoor and outdoor 4x400 relay records.


MALIK TALBERT '19 - LACROSSE

Malik Talbert '19 joined the SUNY Delhi Broncos for the 2017 season after transferring from Hilbert College. Malik quickly established himself as a playmaker, amassing 143 points on 109 goals and 34 assists over a three-year career. He was a two-time team captain, and as a senior during Delhi's first season in NCAA Division III in 2019, he ranked second in the North Atlantic Conference with 50 goals and third with 68 points, while surpassing the 100 career point and goal milestone. His effort and leadership helped the Broncos to an 11-win season and a conference playoff berth. Malik's accolades included a nod to the 2017 NAIA Independent All-Conference Second Team, 2018 NAIA Independent All-Conference First Team, 2019 First Team All-NAC, and was selected as the 2018-19 SUNY Delhi Male Athlete of the Year. Originally from Valley Stream, N.Y., Malik also served as a SAAC representative and graduated with a Bachelor's in Recreation and Sports Management. He currently is the Men's Lacrosse Graduate Assistant at NCAA Division I Jacksonville University.


ALINGTON PAUL '12 - BASKETBALL

Alington Paul '12 was a key member in one of the winningest eras in SUNY Delhi men's basketball history. Between 2010 and 2012, the Broncos combined for 60 wins and back-to-back NJCAA Mountain Valley Conference and Region 3 titles. Whether it was as a starter or coming off the bench, Paul fit any role that was asked of him, serving as a vital fixture in the program making consecutive trips to the NJCAA Division III National Tournament that resulted in the school's highest-ever finish in third place in 2012. The 6'4" forward continued his career at Wells College, instantly becoming a starter and two-time team captain. His first year at Wells, Al finished third on the team with 10.8 points per game to help the Express advance to the NEAC championship game. In the title match, he posted a game-high 25 points with eight rebounds as the team came up just two points short of a come-from-behind upset bid against Morrisville State. The following season, Al earned NEAC Third-Team All-Conference honors after leading Wells in scoring (11.6) and free throw percentage (79.3), while ranking second on the team in rebounding (5.0). Al moved on to become a graduate assistant at Castleton University, and now serves as the Director of Basketball Operations at Boston University. In 2019-20, the Terriers claimed their first Patriot League tournament title along with their first-ever win against the Southeastern Conference (SEC) at South Carolina.


JOY CLARK '16 - VOLLEYBALL

Joy Clark '16 was on the SUNY Delhi volleyball team during its landmark transition from two-year to four-year athletics. As the team's setter in 2014 and 2015, Joy finished her career with 1,381 assists, which is tied for the school record, and served up 102 career aces. Her 666 assists as a freshman in 2014 ranked fourth all-time at SUNY Delhi. As a team captain in 2015 entering the Broncos' four-year era, she improved her season total to 715 assists for third all-time and earned the Coach's Award. Joy graduated from Delhi with an Associate's in Liberal Arts – General Studies in 2016, then moved on to the University of Buffalo, earning her Bachelor's in Health and Human Services in 2018. Originally from West Hempstead, N.Y., Joy currently works as a Supervisor for CityMD Urgent Care, while working towards a Nursing degree. 


DIMITRI BEAUCHAMP '15 - SOCCER

Striker Dimitri Beauchamp '15 was a two-time NJCAA All-Region 3 selection, collecting one of the highest two-year career scoring totals ever at SUNY Delhi. After earning Second Team All-Region honors as a freshman in 2013, he moved up to the 2014 First Team All-Region following a memorable ten-win campaign that included victories against nationally-ranked competition. Dimitri ranked third in the region his sophomore season with 17 goals and fourth with 36 points. Those numbers still stand as the highest for a Bronco in one season since 2008. The team captain earned the 2014-15 Coach's Award before graduating from SUNY Delhi with a degree in Recreation & Sports Management. Dimitri continued his playing career at NCAA Division I American University, being part of a pair of squads that reached the 2015 and 2016 Patriot League Championship Match, as well as winning the Patriot League regular season title in 2016. The native of Bay Shore, N.Y. earned his Bachelor's from AU in Health Promotion. These days Dimitri is an active proponent of mental health and physical fitness, while channeling his passions as a DJ, dancer, entertainer, and video producer.
