DELHI, N.Y. (January 19, 2021) – While our Fall 2020 semester was anything but ordinary, our student-athletes have shown outstanding character, resilience, and leadership during their practice seasons. SUNY Delhi Athletics is proud to celebrate our Broncos of the Week each Tuesday by recognizing our talented and committed students, who despite the absence of competition demonstrated superb qualities on behalf of their team, the college, and their program of study.

Kristen Lombardo, Women's Soccer (Eastchester, NY / Eastchester)

From Head Coach Lauren Mackay:

"One student-athlete who was great during the fall was Kristen Lombardo. With her very busy Veterinary Science schedule, Kristen was likely to miss at least one training session each week. But she always communicated and asked me to send the workout so she could do it on her own. If she had to arrive late, we would stay after the session so she could finish what she missed. Kristen's dedication to her academics and athletics is admirable and she is always working hard!"

Chris Balogh, Men's Tennis (Westtown, NY / Minisink Valley)

From Head Coach Mark Birman:

"Chris returns for his junior season as the longest tenured player on the men's team. Chris finished his freshman year as the team's number 1 and since then his game has improved. His service game is stronger and more reliable after working on it diligently over the course of the last two seasons and his conditioning and fitness is higher than at any time previously. Amongst the stronger number two's in the NAC, his presumptive pairing with Jarrod Radcliffe gives the Broncos perhaps the best number one doubles tandem in conference."
