Bracchy Comes Out Victorious as Athletics Staff Madness Champion

DELHI, N.Y. (April 30, 2020) – Tens of thousands of votes were casted over the last four weeks of Athletics Staff Madness, and our Championship matchup between Beau Bracchy (Women's Volleyball) and Robb Munro (Cross Country/Track & Field) did not disappoint. In addition to the traditional voting methods on DelhiBroncos.com/vote and on Twitter, supporters for both were given an opportunity to add votes through a series of social media challenges across the SUNY Delhi Athletics Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram profiles. At week's end, Bracchy came out the winner with a final tally of 2247-1757.

Bracchy led, 1651-1322, in the online voting, while Munro was ahead in the Twitter voting by a 45-34 lead. The first Social Media Challenge during the weekend featured fans posting the hashtags #votemunro or #votebracchy for one additional vote per hashtag. The second Social Media Challenge gave alumni the opportunity to message the social media pages and vote for either Coach Munro or Coach Bracchy in a points system. Two points were awarded to a SUNY Delhi alumnus, three points were given to a former SUNY Delhi student-athletes, four points for a former SUNY Delhi student-athlete coached by Bracchy or Munro, and five points for a former high school student-athlete dating back to Bracchy's time coaching at Delaware Academy and Munro coaching at Bainbridge-Guilford. This second challenge saw Bracchy take a 227-184 lead. The third and final challenge featured a 24-hour poll on SUNY Delhi Athletics' Instagram story, which Bracchy won, 303-172.
