Stewart Leads Broncos for Second Straight Week at Vassar

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (September 7, 2019) – The women of SUNY Delhi cross country ran their second meet of the season at the Vassar College Ron Stonitsch Invitational. Freshman Sophie Stewart led the Broncos in the 5-kilometer race with a 21st-place in a time of 21:13.7 as the team finished 5th with 144 points.

Sophomore Katerina Salcedo was Delhi's next finisher, earning 30th with a time of 22:02.5, while Arielle Moheimani finished right behind her in 31st at 22:13.6. Shyanne Lawton took 33rd at 22:18.5, Mersadie Dibbell 37th at 23:02.6, Mary Lyons 38th at 23:15.4, and Jillian Hernandez 44th with a time of 24:46.1 to account for Delhi's scoring.

Also running for the Broncos were Ashley Magnifico (24:51.5), Diandra Oliver (25:11.3), Jewel Pignetti (27:09.8), and Katelyn Ingraham (27:22.4).

The women's harriers pick things up next Saturday, Sept. 14, making the short trip up Route 28 for the Oneonta Airfield Invitational.
