JOHNSON, Vt. (November 3, 2019) – The SUNY Delhi women's volleyball team's last regular season challenge saw them head to Northern Vermont Johnson Sunday afternoon to face the host Badgers and Northern Vermont Lyndon in their last NAC crossover. The Broncos began the day coming up short in a few tight sets to drop a 3-0 match to Johnson, but bounced back in the afternoon to handily take a 3-0 victory over Lyndon.

Head coach Beau Bracchy's team secured the fourth seed for next weekend's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Tournament with a 12-13 overall record and 3-3 NAC mark, where they'll face top-seed and host Maine Maritime (22-3, 6-0 NAC) in the semifinals on Saturday. The other conference semifinals match will be against two-seed SUNY Canton (8-20, 5-1 NAC) and three-seed NVU Johnson (13-11, 4-2 NAC). The winners of each contest will compete for the conference championship next Sunday.

NVU JOHNSON 3, DELHI 0

The Broncos had set point in the first set at 24-23, only for Johnson to rally for the next three points to swipe a 26-24 victory. Delhi found itself ahead late in the second set by a 22-21 score, but the Badgers again came through late with four straight points to win, 25-22. And while the ladies stormed out of the gate to take a 9-2 lead to start set three, it was all Johnson from then on, who ran off nine straight points on its way to a game-clinching 25-17 win.

Taylor Tsatsis led Delhi with five kills and two block assists, as Witchney Clersainville added four kills. Erica Prindle tallied 12 assists and seven digs, while Lexi Taylor recorded 14 digs and three kills. The Badgers nearly doubled the Broncos' team kills total by a 36-19 margin, posting a .143 kill percentage on 119 attempts to Delhi's .089 kill percentage on 90 attempts.

DELHI 3, NVU LYNDON 0

Delhi cruised to 25-6, 25-6, and 25-9 set victories over the Hornets, amassing a .270 kill percentage with 27 kills on 63 attempts and 22 total service aces.

Witchney Clersainville had a game-high eight kills, with Jillian Pritchard totaling four kills, as well as Taylor Tsatsis and Lexi Taylor tallying three kills apiece. Erica Prindle notched nine service aces, and went on a stretch in the second set where she served to 21 straight points. Libero Shelby Nolan had four digs to lead the team, as she too went on a serving marathon for 12 straight Broncos points in the first set.
