Erica Prindle Honored in Final Home Game Against Hartwick on Broncos Spirit Night

Senior Erica Prindle with Coach Beau Bracchy during her senior recognition. DELHI, N.Y. (October 28, 2019) – In a night of festivities in Floyd L. Maines Arena Monday, senior Erica Prindle (Kingston, NY / Kingston) was recognized prior to the Broncos' final regular season home game against Hartwick. Though the night ended in a 3-0 defeat to Hawks, a large Broncos crowd cheered on the ladies all evening for SUNY Delhi Athletics' Broncos Spirit Night, sponsored by Cadi and the Barnes & Noble Campus Bookstore. Delhi is 10-12 entering its final week of the regular season.

Delhi's visitors from up the road opened up the contest with a swift 25-11. That would not be the case in set two, though, as the Broncos showed some fight. Facing another set loss down, 24-20, Delhi stormed back with five straight points to swing set point to its favor at 25-24. The Hawks, however, responded with the next three points to win the game, 27-25, then clinched the victory with a 25-20 score in the third game.

Prindle finished with 20 digs, putting the former SUNY Ulster transfer just 11 assists away from reaching the 1,000 career assists mark as a Bronco. She also added two kills and six digs. Witchney Clersainville led the team with eight kills and three total blocks, including one solo, while Taylor Tsatsis registered seven kills and six digs. Libero Shelby Nolan totaled 16 digs, as Lexi Taylor finished with four kills and 16 digs. Haylee Lefebvre garnered four kills, one service ace and two block assists.

After their non-conference road meeting at Utica Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., head coach Beau Bracchy's team continues their hunt for a NAC Tournament berth on Sunday in their regular season finale at Northern Vermont Johnson, where they'll play the host Badgers and Northern Vermont Lyndon. The Broncos are currently fourth place in the conference standings with a 2-2 league record. The league tournament features the top four teams, and will be hosted by the number-one seed the weekend of Nov. 9-10.
