UNION, N.J. (October 12, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi women's tennis team began its two-match trip to New Jersey Friday evening with a meeting at Kean under the lights. Reika Kumasaki earned the Broncos' sole victory on the evening at two singles.
Kumasaki and doubles mate Safiyyah Muhammad played a close contest in the one spot versus Anna Chan and Jada Mack, challenging the Cougars to 16 frames before Kean took a 9-7 win. Kumasaki carried that momentum to her two singles match, beating Emily Kopp by matching 6-3 scores. Muhammad took on Chan at one singles before retiring with a 2-6, 1-2 score.
Delhi closes out its season on Saturday when they travel to take on Rutgers Newark at 1:00 p.m.
