Salley Garners Second ACAA Weekly Honor of Season, Fourth of Career

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (December 5, 2018) – Following a stellar week that saw the SUNY Delhi women's basketball team win all three of their games, Samiaya Salley (Highland Falls, N.Y. / James I. O'Neill) was named the ACAA Player of the Week. It marks the junior guard's second conference weekly honor and fourth of her career.

Salley opened the week tallying 16 points, five assists and four steals in last Tuesday's 66-54 win over SUNY Canton, leading the game in scoring and being one of four Broncos to score in double figures. The junior followed this performance by racking up two 20-point games, including 23 points in Saturday's 80-76 win over Valley Forge on Saturday, where she almost totaled a triple-double with nine rebounds and nine assists. The Highland Falls, N.Y. native then posted 21 points against Albany College of Pharmacy on Sunday in a 65-57 victory, charting six rebounds and five assists. Trailing the Panthers, 43-38, entering the final quarter, Salley scored 11 of the Broncos' 27 fourth-quarter points to give the ladies their third straight win.

Most recently, Salley and the Broncos began their five-game road trip on Tuesday with a 71-49 win at Clarks Summit, where the guard totaled 18 points with seven boards. They will look to extend their streak entering this weekend, starting at Alfred on Friday at 5:00 p.m., followed by Houghton on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
