Broncos Take Down Vaughn at Home

SUNY Delhi extended their winning streak to three Wednesday evening at home against visiting Vaughn College. The Broncos' tough defensive performance held the Warriors to 40 points on the game, allowing only 7 in the second period and 9 in the fourth. On the flip side, SUNY Delhi scored 74 points of their own. In an impressive team effort, nine Broncos contributed points on the scoreboard, with Samiaya Salley's 19 individual points leading the way. SUNY Delhi's Megan Moody came out strong off the bench for the Broncos and shot 100% from the field, shooting 3-3 and contributing 6 points. The Broncos' deep bench added a third of the teams total points, putting away 25 points to aid in the win. Furthermore, SUNY Delhi collectively out-rebounded the Warriors 56 to 37, led by Diana Echols and Katie Herba pulling in 15 and 11 boards, respectively. The Broncos face off against Penn State Greater Allegheny Sunday afternoon at home and look to extend their winning streak to four.
