The Davis College Falcons flew out to a strong start against visiting SUNY Delhi Tuesday night, taking the lead 13-0 in the opening minutes. The Broncos fight and determination would not let those numbers stand for long, however, ending the first period down by only one, 17-16. A back and forth battle through the second period took the Broncos into the half trailing by only two, 39-37. After the half, SUNY Delhi came out of the locker room firing, putting up a game high period 24 points and taking the lead from the Falcons, 61-58. SUNY Delhi's Samiaya Salley contributed seven of her ten baskets in the second half, leading the Broncos with a team high 23 points. With the game tied at 71 and just six seconds left in the game, SUNY Delhi's Katie Herba sunk a clutch basket to put the Broncos in the lead. The Broncos would hold on for the final seconds and take the win, 73-71. An outstanding overall performance by Herba earned her her first triple double of the season, putting away 16 points, pulling down 17 rebounds, and completing 10 assists. SUNY Delhi's Brittany Toliver also contributed on the scoreboard, putting away 14 points and shooting 5-5 from the free throw line.
