Injuries Plague Broncos’ Success

Injuries Plague Broncos’ Success

SUNY Delhi jumped out to an early lead in Thursday's match against Penn State Wilkes-Barre, dominating the first period 17-10.  The Broncos would carry this lead through the first half, going into halftime with a 26-22 lead over the Lions. Brittany Toliver's strong first half offensive performance contributed 10 points for the Broncos. Unfortunately, a game ending injury removed Toliver from the game short into the second period. In the fourth period, teammate Katelyn Lewis would also exit the game due to injury, dropping the Broncos down to four players on the court for the remainder of the game. Although every player who stepped foot on the court for the Broncos contributed on the scoreboard, it would not be enough. The Lions took the win 52-41.
