The Broncos track and field team traveled to Utica College for their fourth meet of the indoor season.

For the fourth straight meet at least one school record fell.  This was the second weekend in a row the men's long jump record was broken, but by a different athlete.  At the start of the season, sophomore Doug Williams held the record in the long jump, which was broken last week by senior Keimon Barrow.  This week, Williams took the record back and became the first athlete to jump over seven meters indoors with a mark of 7.03m (23' 0.75").

The men's team also swept the distance medley relay, entering two teams and placing 1-2 overall, close to minute ahead of the third place team.  The winning quartet of Andrew Davis, Barrow, Ricardo Castello and Kobie Lane crossed the line a few seconds ahead of the other Delhi team.  The race looked to a be a good one until halfway through the first 1200 meter leg, when Andrew Davis and freshman Jon Messler made a break from the field and nobody responded.  From there on it was a battle between the two Delhi teams.  The second place team was made up of Messler, Williams, Nick Arnecke and Jack Hillenbrand.

Also placing high in individual events Barrow in the high jump (2nd), Castello in the 500 meters (2nd), Lane in the 1000 meters (3rd), Brian McLeod in the high jump (3rd), Hillenbrand in the 3000 meters (4th) and Ryan Roosa in the 60 meter hurdles (5th).

Leading the way for the women were freshman Cheyenne Weaver and Nikita Hall.  Weaver returned for her second meet of the year to place fifth in the shot put competition.  Hall placed seventh in the 60 meter dash and ninth in the 200 meters with a pair of performances that were both season best times.  The other notable performance came from senior Antori Abraham.  She started her season with a throw just three centimeters short of her own school record leaving high hopes for the remainder of the season.

The teams will travel to Ithaca next weekend for the Bomber Invitational.
