Rohan's 14-Point Week Gives Him Second NAC Weekly Honor

WATERVILLE, Me. (April 2, 2019) – While the SUNY Delhi men's lacrosse continued their dominance in their fifth week of action, it also marked the fifth straight week the Broncos nabbed a NAC weekly conference honor. John Rohan (Wantagh, NY / Wantagh) was named Player of the Week for the second time this season after combining for a staggering 13 goals and one assist over the team's two games versus SUNY Poly and NAC-foe Thomas. Delhi has won seven of its last eight games for a 7-3 record and 3-0 in NAC competition.

Though the Broncos fell to the Wildcats on Wednesday by a 14-10 score, Rohan kept Delhi in the game with a career-best seven goals and one assist. While Poly maintained a lead throughout the contest, the Broncos rallied to get to within one goal of the Wildcats on four occasions, all coming on four of Rohan's goals. Delhi quickly got back on track Saturday with a 23-0 shutout NAC win over Thomas. Rohan led the Broncos with six goals, including one on an extra-man opportunity.

The native of Wantagh, NY boosted his NAC-leading scoring totals to 45 points and 38 goals. His performances Wednesday and Saturday gives him seven games this year where he has totaled four or more goals.

Rohan and the Broncos carry on with their season Wednesday, playing Houghton at 5:00 p.m. at Maine-Endwell High School in Endwell, NY. Delhi then travels to play Northern Vermont Johnson in a NAC game on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., set to take place at Norwich University.
