Broncos Third to Wrap First Day of Webber Tri-Match

LAKE WALES, Fla. (February 27, 2019) – The SUNY Delhi men's golf team began their spring season Wednesday, taking a mid-winter-break trip down to Florida to compete in the Webber International Tri-Match. Competing against the host Warriors and St. Thomas (Fla.), Delhi finished the first day in third place with a 51-over-par total of 339. The two-day competition is being held at the Lake Wales Country Club.

On the team leaderboard, sophomore and reigning NAC individual champion Daniel Christy leads Delhi in 13th place with a score of 81 (+9). The next Bronco down is Bradon Palmer, who stands in 19th with an 84 (+12). Alex Fisher is right behind him in 20th place, holding an 85 score (+13), while Aaron Oliver is 26th with an 89 (+17) and Russell Herbert 28th carrying a 95 (+23).

Competing individually, Zach Barrett is tied with Christy in 13th with an 81 (+9). Jarrett McWilliams is 16th after shooting an 83 (+11), while Jason Cyr, Derek Firment and Jonathan Smolen are all tied for 22nd with 87's (+15).

SUNY Delhi looks to climb further up the leaderboard when day two of competition commences on Thursday at 12:00 p.m.
