Christy Leads Broncos as Delhi Sits Third After NAC Day One

WATERBURY, Vt. (October 13, 2018) – SUNY Delhi men's golf completed round one of their first-ever NAC Championships on Saturday, sitting in third place with a 318 total. Taking place at the par-72, 6,801-yard Country Club of Vermont, Daniel Christy led the Broncos, scoring a 75 three-over-par, which currently puts him in fourth place. He had four birdies on the day, including three on par-five holes.

Brandon Palmer was the Broncos' second-top finisher with a 78 score, followed by Aaron Oliver carding an 82, Russell Herbert at 83 and Alex Fisher carrying an 85.

SUNY Canton and Thomas (Me.) were unable to complete their rounds on Saturday, leaving the official team and individual leaderboards incomplete. As it stands, Husson is in the lead with a 307 total, while Salem is second at 311. Castleton is behind Delhi in fourth at 332, as Northern Vermont Johnson is fifth with a 340 score.

The second and final round of the league championships will get underway on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Both Thomas and SUNY Canton will tee off from their respective holes at 10:00 a.m.
