Zach Barrett Earns NAC Golf Rookie of the Week

WATERVILLE, Me. (September 4, 2018) – Just days into their new conference affiliation, the SUNY Delhi men's golf team earned their first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) award in sophomore Zach Barrett (West Winfield, NY / Mt. Markham) earning Rookie of the Week. A first-year player for the Broncos, Barrett secured the distinction by finishing fifth this weekend in the team's victory over The Apprentice School.

The West Winfield, NY native carried 76 and 74 scores in the two-day competition, finishing fifth on the leaderboard with an eight-over-par. With a 300 score on Saturday, the Broncos trailed the Builders by one stroke after day one. The team improved by two strokes on Sunday and ran away with a 13-stroke win, 598-611.

Barrett and the Broncos head down to Virginia this weekend to compete at the Shenandoah Invitational, beginning Sunday at 12 noon.
