Fisher Totals 14-Over to Lead Delhi at Le Moyne Bello Invite

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (April 13, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi men's golf team wrapped up its second set of competition over spring break Friday at Le Moyne's Mike Bello Invitational. Led by Alex Fisher shooting a 156 (79, 77) to tie for 18th, all five Broncos tallied improved scores from their first-day totals on Thursday to finish 13th with a combined 652 (333, 319). The tournament took place at the par-71, 6,498-yard Bellevue Country Club, fielding the likes of Roberts Wesleyan, Daemen and Southern New Hampshire. 

Daniel Christy ranked second on Delhi, shooting a 161 (82, 79) to finish tied for 43rd, while Jonathan Smolen shot a 164 (83, 81) to tie for 55th on the leaderboard. Both Aaron Oliver and Russell Herbert carded seven-stroke improvements on the second day to finish tied for 71st and 73rd, respectively. Oliver scored a 171 (89, 82), while Herbert earned a 173 (90, 83).

Coach Dave Arehart has one more spring-break contest ahead for his players, as the Broncos face off in a home dual match against Hamilton on Saturday, starting at 11:00 a.m. at The College Golf Course.
