Christy Leads Broncos in 22nd Place after Day One at Webber Classic

LAKE WALES, Fla. (February 25, 2018) – The SUNY Delhi men's golf team wrapped up day one at Webber's Start 2 Finish Classic with Daniel Christy leading the Broncos tied for 22nd place after shooting a 160 through two rounds (82, 78). The classic features 44 golfers from colleges such as Florida Gulf Coast, Warner, Saint Leo and Ave Maria. Day two of the Webber Start 2 Finish Classic begins Monday at 8:00 a.m. at the Lake Wales Country Club.

Joseph Burgin and Alex Fisher are right behind Christy tied for 24th with a 161. Burgin shot an 82 and 79, while Fisher clubbed an 83 and 78. Brandon Palmer stands in 31st place with a 164 (84, 80), as Ryan Florack is 34th with a 169 (89, 80). Derek Firment (86, 87), Aaron Oliver (89, 84) and Frank Gargano (91, 82) are tied for 37th on the leaderboard with a 173. Jonathan Smolen stands in 41st place after shooting a 175 (88, 87).

Sunday's two rounds of golf marked SUNY Delhi's first competition after winning the USCAA National Championship back in October.
