Sam Miller is in his third year leading the SUNY Delhi men's lacrosse program for the 2018-19 season. He served his first two years as the team's interim head coach, and was officially appointed head coach in the summer of the 2018. Miller, a graduate and former player at SUNY Brockport, is set to guide the team for its first official season in NCAA Division III in the spring of 2019, as well as their first year in the North Atlantic Conference.

Miller came to Delhi after serving as a volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater, SUNY Brockport, for one season. His first Broncos team in 2017 posted a 7-5 record, followed by a 4-10 campaign in 2018. In Coach Miller's first season, Connor Filiberto became the team's first four-year All-American when the senior defender landed a spot on the NAIA All-American Second Team. Filiberto was also named the Association of Independent Institutions' (AII) Defensive Player of the Year.

As Brockport's defensive assistant in 2016, he helped guide the Golden Eagles to the SUNYAC Championship game for the first time in program history, finishing with a 12-4 record. The defense that season gave up a mere 6.88 goals per game and a program record 103 goals against total.

Prior to coaching at Brockport, Miller spent two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Va. from 2014 to 2015. The Yellow Jackets were 15-19 in those two seasons.

Miller graduated from Brockport in 2016 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He played two seasons for the Golden Eagles in 2012 and 2013, earning a SUNYAC playoff bid his senior year for only the second time in program history. He played his first two seasons at Salisbury University in Maryland from 2009 to 2010. Miller helped the Seagulls reach the 2010 NCAA Division III Championship game, as well as capturing the 2009 Capital Athletic Conference title.
