Yanira Dawson DAT, ATC, FMT-C joined the SUNY Delhi athletic training staff in the summer of 2021, serving as the Head Athletic Trainer and Senior Woman Administrator. She would then officially assume the role of Assistant Athletic Director in August 2023.

Dawson is a 2014 graduate of Utica College, earning her Bachelor's in Health Studies. She served as a college student athletic trainer while pursuing her Master's from Shenandoah University in Athletic Training, which included stops at Shenandoah and Shepherd. She recently earned her Doctorate in Athletic Training from Florida International University. Dawson is also a member of the Phi Kappa Phi national honors society.

She has served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Elmont Memorial High School since 2016, also serving as a teaching aide for the school. Dawson also held down clinical positions at nearby Northwell Health Orthopedic and Professional Physical Therapy. Her athletic training repertoire also extends to a summer stint at the Long Island Nets G-League Skills Camp.

Dawson has been a member of the National Athletic Training Association (NATA) since 2015. She is a certified CPR instructor through the American Red Cross and also holds a certification in movement taping.

Rachel Gleason is in her seventh season as SUNY Delhi’s Athletic Trainer for the 2023-24 year. The 2009 SUNY Delhi graduate joined the training staff during the 2016-17 season, and was appointed to full-time status during the summer of 2017. Gleason will be responsible for the two-person training workload of SUNY Delhi’s 17 intercollegiate athletic programs.

Gleason is from Walton, N.Y. and competed for two years on the SUNY Delhi cross country and track and field teams. She helped the Broncos to a third-place finish at the 2008 NJCAA Cross Country National Championships. After earning her Associate’s from Delhi in Physical Education in 2009, Gleason went on to SUNY Cortland, receiving her Bachelor’s in Athletic Training in 2013. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Fitness and Wellness Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh.

In her first year working at Delhi, Gleason split her time also serving as an athletic trainer at SUNY Cobleskill. She holds a BOC Athletic Training Certification and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
