DELHI, N.Y. (September 19, 2017) – The Association of Independent Institutions (AII) has announced junior Nicholas Arnecke (Edmeston, NY / Edmeston) as its Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 17.

Arnecke, who was named the 2016 USCAA Student-Athlete of the Year, took third place at the Oneonta Airfield Invitational on Saturday, completing the 6K course with a time of 19:34.4. It marked the third straight week the Edmeston, N.Y. native finished in the top three. He finished behind teammate Kobie Lane, who won the event with a mark of 19:06.7. The Broncos placed second in the seven-team competition with 36 points, two points behind winner and host SUNY Oneonta.
