Kobie Lane Wins Second Straight USCAA Athlete of the Week

NORFOLK, Va. (September 13, 2017) – The awards keep rolling in for men's cross country junior Kobie Lane, as the native of Port Jervis, NY earned his second straight USCAA Athlete of the Week honor. Lane, who swept all last week's conference awards, was also named the ACAA's Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week on Monday.

The Port Jervis High School graduate won his second straight individual crown this season on Saturday, when he paced the 5K, 170-man Hamilton Short Course Invitational with a time of 15:18.1. His finish shaved 28.4 seconds off his mark from last year's race. The Broncos finished third with 67 points, as teammates Jon Messler and Nicholas Arnecke finished right behind Lane at second and third, respectively, for the second straight week.
