Men Claim Seven of Top Eight Spots to Win Green Mountain Invitational

POULTNEY, Vt. (October 14, 2017) – In what has been a dominating season for the SUNY Delhi men's cross country team, the Broncos closed out the regular season in style Saturday with a first-place finish at the 8K Green Mountain College Invitational. Nicholas Arnecke came away as Delhi's top finisher with a time of 26:42, with six other Broncos grabbing top-eight positions as the team tallied 16 points.

Kobie Lane, who was honored as the ACAA's Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, finished second with 26:48, while Jon Messler placed third at 26:55. Lucas Reilly grabbed fourth place at 27:51, while Kevin Malen earned sixth at 28:05, Jack Hopkins seventh at 28:15 and James Blough eighth at 28:18. Ted Oster finished 16th with a time of 29:36, while Anthony Sood was 33rd with a mark of 39:02.

The Broncos now have two weeks off as they prepare to host the ACAA/NIAC Championships on Saturday, October 28. The women's race will begin at 11:00 a.m. and the men at 12 noon at the College Golf Course.
