Lane Places First, Three Broncos Take Top Three as Delhi Wins Le Moyne Invitational

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (September 2, 2017) – The season has just begun for the SUNY Delhi men's cross country team, and the defending USCAA champions have their first win of the season. The Broncos placed first at the Le Moyne Short Course Invitational, hosted by Le Moyne College, besting the seven-team field with 27 points, and having three runners finish in the top three and four in the top seven.

In a field of 67 runners, Kobie Lane took home the individual crown with a time of 20:13.05, besting the course record for the third straight year. His previous record was 20:32.71. Also running under the previous course record were Jon Messler, who placed second at 20:18.87, and Nicholas Arnecke, who finished third at 20:20.04. Lucas Reilly grabbed seventh seventh place at 20:55.68, Jack Hopkins finished 14th with a mark of 22:42.76, and Michael Moran rounded out the day for Delhi with a 27th-place finish at 24:20.87.
