WATERVILLE, Me. (October 2, 2019) – Freshman Sophie Stewart (Newark Valley, NY / Newark Valley) used her team-leading performance at Saturday's 6K SUNY Geneseo Mike Woods Invitational to land the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week honor. It marked her second conference award of the season.

In a race that featured 251 runners and 21 teams, Stewart finished in a time of 25:28.2 for 80th place. The Broncos finished 14th as a team.

Stewart and the Broncos have their next challenge on their home course on Tuesday when they host the Bronco Classic at 5:15 p.m. at The College Golf Course.
